Almaty

During the day around Nur-Sultan you can visit a number of interesting places, for example:
- The Korgalzhyn Nature Reserve is the northernmost nesting point of pink flamingos. You can meet these unique birds from the end of April till October only in 150 km from the capital city.
- The museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” – a branch of notoriously famous GULAG camps - located just 40 km away from the city, and is one of the most significant historical sites of the soviet history.
- Kobeytuz, better known as the pink lake, is 170 km away from the city. Enjoy the incredible scenery of the lake and do not miss the opportunity of a photoshoot against the backdrop of the pink lake.
Ethnical tours
The first and foremost authentic experience as a nomad is visiting a yurt, a traditional nomadic dwelling of Central Asia’s tribes. Immersing into the life of nomads and their culture is possible in an improvised “aul” (ethnic village). Cease the opportunity to take a picture with a “real” kazakh khan, a brave “batyr” and try national dishes and drinks. Get acquainted with the original ancient weapons of the nomads while wearing real armors and shooting an arrow with a bow or simply learning a master class by local craftsmen.
