The Katon-Karagay National Park, founded in 2001, is the largest nature reserve in Kazakhstan. Its area occupies more than 640 thousand hectares. Many species of animals, including endangered ones, inhabit its territory. Local sights include: Rakhman Springs, Belukha Mountain, Kokkol Waterfall, Berel Mounds. The park works towards preservation of the region's ecosystems, the study of natural processes, the organization of tours, and popularization of environmental education.
Travelers are provided with all the necessary hiking gear and vehicles to move around the area. There are campgrounds. And also interesting lectures and classes are constantly held here.
