Karatau Nature Reserve
The reserve is home to rare and endangered species of insects, birds, and animals.
Karatau Nature Reserve is a wildlife refuge in the mid-part of the Karatau Mountains in the northwestern Tien Shan. It covers an area of 34,300 hectares. There are a lot of waterfalls, due to significant differences in altitude. Many scientists note the unique flora, especially rare endemic species. The fauna of Karatau Reserve has changed drastically over the years. Unfortunately, some species have disappeared. However, there are still rare species of insects, birds and animals, as well as some endangered ones.
Each living creature is an integral part of our world, so people should take care of them. Karatau Nature Reserve was created for this very purpose. Here you can feel unity with nature, not ruined by human activities.
