Instructions for obtaining a visa for digital nomads Neo Nomad Visa
Starting from November 18, 2024, Kazakhstan will introduce a new type of visa for digital nomads — Neo Nomad Visa. The visa is intended for foreign citizens who work remotely and combine work with travel.
This instruction sets out the basic requirements for obtaining a visa and the procedure for its registration.
1. Description of the visa:
Type of visa: Neo Nomad Visa
Visa category: B12-1
Multiplicity of visa: Multiple
Validity period: up to 1 year
Duration stay: up to 1 year
Issued: By foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Extension: The visa can be extended for up to 1 year on the basis of the applicant's application submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
To whom it is issued: Citizens of all countries working remotely with permanent income from foreign sources.
Family members and dependents of the main recipient of the visa are issued a visa for the duration of the visa of the main recipient.
2. Required documents for submission:
To obtain a visa, you must provide the following documents:
1. Bank statement for the last 6 months confirming a stable monthly income of over $3,000.
2. Tax return issued by the competent authority of the country of citizenship.
3. A document confirming the absence of a criminal record issued by the authorized body of the country of citizenship or permanent place of residence.
4. Medical insurance that covers the entire validity period of the visa.
5. Invitation letter (not required for citizens of 48 countries included in the list of economically developed, politically and migrationally stable states, according to Appendix 1).
3. Visa application procedure:
1. Collect all the necessary documents.
2. Apply to a foreign institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan to submit an application.
3. Authorized employees of the foreign institution will review your documents.
4. In case of a positive decision, a visa will be issued.
The visa processing period does not exceed 5 working days.
4. Important points:
This visa does not provide for the possibility of employment in Kazakhstan.
If you meet the requirements for obtaining a Neo Nomad Visa, you can apply to the nearest foreign institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
