ALMATY MARATHON – THE LARGEST RUNNING EVENT IN CENTRAL ASIA

       Almaty Marathon is the largest start in Central Asia, taking place at the foot of the picturesque Zailiyskiy Alatau Mountains. The route runs along the main streets of Almaty, offering stunning views of the mountains, offering long climbs and steep descents, with the active support of numerous spectators along the entire distance. This is not just a sports competition, but a large international event, in which runners from more than 60 countries of the world flock to participate.

      Almaty Marathon is more than a mass race. We use sport for positive changes in society, combining inclusivity, environmental friendliness and the development of the city's running infrastructure.

         Charity is an important part of the marathon's mission. Every year, part of the entry fees goes to support children with special needs. Over the years, more than 30 charity projects have been implemented in Almaty and the Almaty region.

       Almaty Marathon is a member of the Association of International Starts and Races AIMS, and its routes are certified in accordance with World Athletics standards.
