Memorial Museum, Monument and Mausoleum of Ibrai Altynsarin

Ybyrai Altynsarin was an active public figure, teacher, ethnographer, fighter for women's education.

In Kostanay, there is a whole complex dedicated to the life and work of a significant historical figure - Ybyrai Altynsarin.

Ybyrai Altynsarin was an active public figure, teacher, ethnographer, fighter for women's education. The opening of the monument dedicated to the great Kazakh enlightener took place in 1970.

The sculpture is made of red granite and its components are the bust of Altynsarin and a memorial plaque with his name and years of life. Later, in 1991, a memorial museum was founded, and a mausoleum was erected over the scientist's grave. The structure of the museum includes two parts: a one-story building that serves as a copy of the school of Ybyray Altynsarin , and a two-story room similar in shape to a yurta, where the Ybyrai Altynsarin Teacher-Educator and the Creative Lab of the National Writer of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maryam Khakimzhanova are displayed . M. Khakimzhanova was a close relative of Y. Altynsarin, has gone the way of becoming a famous poetess and left a great cultural heritage. The museum contains about 12 thousand valuable exhibits, among which are the personal belongings of the Altynsarin family and his own book. It regularly hosts fascinating lectures and guided tours of all three components of the commemorative complex.
