Burial ground of "Begazy"
Here are the graves of tribal leaders and religious leaders of the Bronze Age.
The "Begazy" burial ground is one of the most vivid examples of archaic sights of the Karaganda region. Here are the graves of tribal leaders and religious leaders of the Bronze Age. On the territory of the ancient necropolis, excavations are carried out, during which clay vessels, jugs, weapon elements and animal bones were discovered. The Begazy complex consisted of several structures characteristic of the architecture of that period. Local mausoleums are square, they are made of granite and their average height is about 4 meters. Many of the samples found are stored in the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic, but this does not prevent to learn about the originality of the ancient settlements and to find something new and interesting for themselves.
