Kokshetau National Park
The jewel of Kazakhstan - this is how one can call Kokshetau National Park, due to its amazing nature and wondrous variety of wildlife.
Kokshetau National Park was established in 1996 by decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is located in the Akmola region. Its territory occupies more than 182,000 hectares, and the local nature surprises with its diversity and beauty. This park is the jewel of Kazakhstan, because of the unique landscape, rich flora and fauna.
There are 185 ancient monuments, 800 plant species, 305 species of animals, pine forests and birch groves. Almost every memorable place in the park is surrounded by legends.
Kokshetau National Park aims at preserving the natural environment and archaeological sites, as well as organizing recreation for people.
