"Kokshetau" State National Nature Park

In 1996, by decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State National Nature Park “Kokshetau” was established, located in the Akmola region. Its territory occupies more than 182,000 hectares, and the local nature surprises with its diversity and beauty. Pearl of Kazakhstan - this is how one can characterize the park “Kokshetau”, due to the abundance of amazing plants, trees, animals and birds adjacent to it.
There are 185 ancient monuments of culture and history, 800 plant species, 305 species of animals (many of which are listed in the Red Book), pine forests and birch groves. Almost every memorable place in the park keeps a personal history or belief.
The State National Nature Park “Kokshetau” is an environmental organization dedicated to scientific activities, in which the priority tasks remain the preservation of the natural environment and the organization of recreation for people in parts of untouched nature.
