Aksu Dzhabagly Reserve - the oldest protected reserve of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The territory of the reserve is distinguished by the diversity of natural landscapes, thanks to which the most diverse fauna inhabit it, among which snow leopards, porcupines, foxes and wolves are found. The flora of the reserve Aksu-Jabagly also has something to surprise visitors, but the picturesque combination of snow-capped mountain peaks and alpine flowers looks particularly beautiful. One of the main attractions of the reserve is the amazing Koksai canyon. The terrain of the canyon is replete with picturesque forest, meadow and steppe zones. The most beautiful landscape of the gorge is complemented by medicinal and ornamental plant species: medicinal St. John's wort, fragrant tulips, yarrow, chamomile.
Aksu- Dzhabaglinsky reserve and the adjacent Koksay canyon are ideal for a measured pastime in nature and a quiet, constructive holiday, and therefore are very popular among residents and guests of Zhambyl region.
