Jinishke River Gorge

it is a very beautiful, wild and secluded place.

The Jinishke River (also spelled as Zhinishke River) originates at an altitude of 3650 m (12000 ft) in the upper Sarytau Ridge. This is an uninhabited area, occasionally visited by shepherds who drive their cattle to pastures far into the mountains. Weathering has turned the riverbed into a 50-meter canyon. In some places the gorge is similar to the Charyn Canyon. There is the “Three Monks” - a "sculpture" created by nature. On the banks of the river there are thickets of sea buckthorn, rose hip, aspen and poplar. Osman, and trout are found in the river.

There are many good places for hiking and horseback riding.

Local residents are mainly engaged in cattle breeding and agriculture.
