The Central Mosque of the city of Almaty, erected against the backdrop of the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains
The Central Mosque of the city of Almaty, erected against the backdrop of the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains, is one of the largest Muslim temples in the country and accommodates up to 7,000 visitors. The magnificent courtyard of the mosque pleases the eye of each person with its picturesque nature, good lighting and is known as an amazingly peaceful place where you can sit, relax and pray while enjoying the surrounding views. The snow-white structure harmoniously combines the majesty of architecture and restrained oriental flavor. There are female and male halls, rooms for reading the Koran and marriage, as well as rooms for Islamic lessons; the walls are painted with surahs of the Holy Scriptures. We should not forget about the important rules of visiting a Muslim temple: take off your shoes while walking to the prayer hall, wear closed clothes and do not make noise.
Almaty Central City Mosque is a symbol of Muslim architecture, a place of reflection, peace of mind and prayer, where there is no place for evil and anxiety.
