Monument "Kazakh Eli"
Symbol of the sovereignty of the country
Located in the center of the capital on Independence Square, the monument "Kazakh Eli" ("Kazakh people") is a fairly new architectural landmark of Astana and all of Kazakhstan. It is represented by a light column, installed on a quadrangular white marble foundation, where on each side you will see bas-reliefs depicting the main events of the formation of an independent Republic of Kazakhstan. Interesting fact: the height of this building is 91 meters, which is associated with the independence of the country in 1991.
The complex "Kazakh Eli" is not just a symbol of sovereignty. It also reflects the traditional culture and history, and the sacred bird Samruk, sitting on the top of the monument, is the personification of the modern tendency of Kazakhstan to continuous growth, development and progress.
