State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum "Azret-Sultan"

The International Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Azret- Sultan” was founded in 1978 and reorganized in 1989. It conducts scientific and educational activities aimed at the study and preservation of the Turkestan archaeological monuments of culture. On its territory there are historical monuments: the famous Mausoleum of Leather Akhmet Yassaui and Rabigi Sultan Begim, the ancient city of Sauran, the underground mosque Kylouta , the mausoleums of Gaukhar ana and Ukash ata. The museum has 25 thousand valuable exhibits, for the preservation of which special modern devices were installed.
The museum-reserve “Azret- Sultan” conducts expeditionary work on a regular basis, being engaged in the annual organization of exhibitions of various thematic areas. Also one of the main tasks of the museum is to popularize national history among the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. There are interesting historical and theatrical performances that help to feel the spirit of the past tense.
“Azret- Sultan” conducts joint cooperation with all Kazakhstan museums, but remains the most visited today.
