Mosque Abdulhamid Kattani
Mosque built as a gift by a resident of Saudi Arabia
Mosque Abdulhamid Kattani is a model of the third pillar of Islam - Zakat, according to which a capable Muslim pays money that goes to help needy co-religionists. So, thanks to the zakat of a Saudi Arabian resident, Abdulhamid Kattani, a large Muslim temple of 845.5 square meters was erected in Shymkent. It can accommodate 2,000 believers, and its structure includes 7 rooms, among which there are lecture rooms, libraries and a spacious hall for namaz. The gilded dome of the mosque from the inside is decorated with the surah “Fatiha” and one of the most famous ayahs of the Quran “Al-Kursi”.
The mosque of Abdulhamid Kattani is a peaceful place where calmness, silence and light reign. The doors of the “House of Allah” are always open, so every person can visit here and feel intimacy with the spiritual world.
