The dividing strip between the Mangystau Peninsula Mangyshlak and the prominent Ustyurt Plateau is the Karynzharyk depression. The natural basin, 75 meters deep, has on its territory a large saline lake Kenderli. In the hot summertime, wet salty litter resembles stacked slabs with many cracks, and during the rains it turns into a huge mirror, reflecting on the latitudes of Karynzharyk. The surroundings of the depression include five mountain elevations of more than 100 m, which invariably fascinate travelers. Steep ledges, located along the recess in the east, are one of the habitats of the Asian mouflon.
The Valley of Karynzharyk in particular attracts photographers, however, despite the highest resolution of the camera, the images do not convey the full magnificence of these places. And, probably, it should be, because all impressions and emotions should be stored not on paper, but in the heart of a traveler.
